Derek' Homecoming 12/14/08

Derek and Zach(Cousin)
Derek reported his mission on Sunday the 14th in Kanosh. All of Jared's family were there except for Matt(He lives in Mississippi). Derek did a great job. It is alway fun to hear the mission stories. We had lunch at the church. It was so great to be together the kids always have so much fun together.

Taesi, Riley, and Habor helping Grandma clean up.

Braylon, Hunter and Kaeden just hanging out.

Kaeden School Christmas Program 12/11/08

Kaeden had his school program on the 11th, the 1st grade sang all "I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth." I tried to get a picture of him singing but he wouldn't look up long enough to get one. So this is the best one I got.
Kaeden and Landon. While the other classes were singing their songs, you could see these two and a few other boys playing rock, paper, sizzors.

Elder Higgs returns with honor!!!! 12/8/08

We are so excited to have Derek home from Mexico. Kaeden has been counting down the days for weeks. He even got the first hug. He was so proud of himself. After we picked him up we all went out to eat and just enjoy his (Derek's) presense. He was an amazing missionary and a wonderful example for his neices and nephew. It is amazing how much he has changed, but he is still the same Derek we know and love.

12/6/08 Festival of Trees

Taesi's dream tree.
On Saturday I went to the Festival of Tree with Jennifer to watch her girls, Cassandra and Dannielle dance. When they were done we dragged them around to look at the trees.

Salt Lake City 12/5 to 12/8

We Went to Salt Lake to Finish our Christmas shopping and of course to pick up Derek ( Jared's youngest brother) on Monday. We were not at Jennifer's for more than 5 Minutes and this is what Taesi looked like and stayed this way for the whole weekend. My princess!!!
This however took the whole weekend to build. A fort big enough for 5 made by Jacob, Dominique, Nathan, Kaeden and Taesi. They had a blast, and yes as you can see Taesi is still in her dress-ups.

Hmmmm...What do I want????

It took them a few minutes to tell Santa what they want for Christmas. This is the first year Taesi sat on Santa's lap without crying. I couldn't even get her to look at me for a picture she was so busy talking.

Tis the Season

Our tree in now up and decorated by Kaeden and Taesi. The kids are so excited for Christmas to come. I am now that the tree is up. If you are wondering what Taesi is wearing it is a dress- up skirt that is now a dress. If she isn't in her school clothes Monday and Wednesday 12:30 to 3:00 she is in dress ups. Beautiful isn't it!!!!! It does save on laundry though. Also if you look behind the tree you will see that my walls are no longer white. Now all I have left to paint in the kitchen.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a quiet thanksgiving here in Panguitch. Jared had to work all weekend, so I cooked a turkey and was doing great until Jared got home. His quick projects???? We do have a much needed fan in in bathroom so I guess it was worth sacrificing the turkey. It was still edible just dry. It rained and snowed all day the kids played outside until they were soaked and muddy. There was just enough snow on the ground to slide on. On Saturday we went over to Cedar City to see "BOLT" and of course eat at the McDonald's that has the toys. We had tons of fun.
