Jared's new toy

Most people wouldn't call a snowblower a toy, but at our house it is!!
We bought this on our way home from Overton, that night Jared spent about 4 hours cleaning our driveway, front and back, along with our neighbors. After a few hours Kaeden went to check on Dad, when he came in he said, "Man, he sure is having fun with that thing." Here he is in Kanosh clearing out the neighbors driveway, since his parents was already done.

Kanosh and Cousins

Let's Go Sledding
On the 26th we headed to Kanosh to spend time with family. Grandma took the kids sledding in the fields. They had a blast and eventually broke one of the sleds.

You would think we would be use to having Derek home, but everytime the kids has a chance they would climb up on his lap. It can't get any better than this!!

We, well they Ryan, Wendy, Derek and Jared played rock band for hours. It was fun to watch, by the time they got tired, they were all getting in the 90% on the songs. A new favorite family past time.

Having fun with cousins, we love it!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas from the Higgs'. We had a fun christmas day at home. The kids were up by 8am, we got a Wii for the family and have had a blast. Taesi loves to bowl and Kaeden is getting pretty good on the guitar. Here they are play Mario cart, and Jared is playing his DS.

Go BYU, Yeah right????

The atmoshpere was awesome, but BYU played pretty bad!!! Ryan got tickets to the whatever bowl game they play at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las vegas and invited me and Jared to go. We met Ryan, Wendy, Hailey, Hunter, Terry and Derek for Lunch and then headed for the game. David Hasslehoff sang the National Anthem and the Flag covered the football field. It was amazing then some Jets from Nellis did a fly over.

Derek' Homecoming 12/14/08

Derek and Zach(Cousin)
Derek reported his mission on Sunday the 14th in Kanosh. All of Jared's family were there except for Matt(He lives in Mississippi). Derek did a great job. It is alway fun to hear the mission stories. We had lunch at the church. It was so great to be together the kids always have so much fun together.

Taesi, Riley, and Habor helping Grandma clean up.

Braylon, Hunter and Kaeden just hanging out.

Kaeden School Christmas Program 12/11/08

Kaeden had his school program on the 11th, the 1st grade sang all "I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth." I tried to get a picture of him singing but he wouldn't look up long enough to get one. So this is the best one I got.
Kaeden and Landon. While the other classes were singing their songs, you could see these two and a few other boys playing rock, paper, sizzors.

Elder Higgs returns with honor!!!! 12/8/08

We are so excited to have Derek home from Mexico. Kaeden has been counting down the days for weeks. He even got the first hug. He was so proud of himself. After we picked him up we all went out to eat and just enjoy his (Derek's) presense. He was an amazing missionary and a wonderful example for his neices and nephew. It is amazing how much he has changed, but he is still the same Derek we know and love.
